I'm Sarah, my husband is Dustin and we live in Kansas City, MO. Dustin is a PhD student at the University of Kansas and I work for The ALS Association Keith Worthington Chapter. We have two dogs - Clover and Gus, and a cat - Molly.

Walk to Defeat ALS™
On October 8 I am walking in the Kansas CIty Walk to Defeat ALS™ in memory of my grandfather Clarence Leo Carroll who died of ALS in 1966.

….but it still feels like summer :(
I distinctly remember it was a beautiful fall-like day last year on the first day of Michigan football. It was the perfect day for football and prompted me to create this post.
The start of football season makes me giddy inside - it makes me nostalgic for my high school marching band days when we had Friday night football games and Saturday competitions, reminds me of my courtship with Dustin when we’d watch college football together on Saturdays and it means fall (and cooler weather) are on the way.
Well unlike last year, is will be a humid 92 degrees and rainy today and it just doesn’t feel much like football season. Luckily it looks like mother nature will be turning the thermostat down about 15-20 degrees starting tomorrow, and while I don’t mean to complain about the upcoming cool down I wish it had come just one day sooner!
